After breakfast, we set off by car to Zagora. Here, saddled horses are waiting for us. We move along the Draa River valley, famous for the cultivation of date palms. We ride through palm groves and traditional Berber villages. We set up our first camp in a beautiful oasis.

Day 3
On the third day, we reach the Draa gorges surrounded by stunning scenery and interesting rock formations. We rest during a picnic among palm trees, then we head to our camp in Tagounit.

Day 4
In the morning we ride through the Col of Foum Alhisn to reach the vast sand dunes surrounding the village of M’hamid, which is at the end of the Zagora region. We spend the night in a traditional nomadic camp. There is a bathroom available.

Day 5
We ride on the dunes in the morning; we eat lunch in the desert. In the afternoon we cross the Sahara plateaus; when we reach the middle of the desert, we set up camp.

Day 6
On this day, we ride along sandy and rocky paths, admiring the landscape full of charming, exotic trees. At lunchtime, we stop in the shaded valley for a meal. In the afternoon, we cross the pass at an altitude of about 1400 m above the sea level to spend the night next to nomad’s tents.

In the morning we trot and gallop for the last time before returning to the groves of the Draa valley. And that will be the end of this amazing journey. After saying goodbye to the guides and horses, we drive to Ouarzazate for the night at the hotel.
